G Suite is a collection of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools for business. The administrative tool of G Suite is called admin console, which is used to manage cloud services and implement IT policies. My project was identifying and exploring the opportunities of on-the-go administration.

I got the opportunity to work on a proposal and design of the enterprise product. I closely collaborated with product managers, UX researchers and designers. I also got involved in secondary research to drive insights on present scenario of the problem space. This helped me to decide the target audience, critical user journeys and understand user-flows. It also helped me to understand and align the product with the team’s present and upcoming product strategies. Later, the inferences were transformed into mockups and prototypes of an android application. I interacted with UX engineers and engineering team to understand the product constraints. I was involved in the research, product strategy, defining the information architecture, low-fidelity clickable prototypes, designing high-fidelity prototypes and animations for micro-interactions.

I was able to create excitement within the team and this has led to considering this project for development in 2020. My project also has helped the team to kickstart on the new strategy and collaboration with other G suite teams.

During the period of 20 weeks, I learned to collaborate with a product team and understand product strategies and constraints. I also learned about the complexities in enterprise services and IT administration.

Along with my project, I got the chance to get involved and volunteer in a lot of fun and exciting activities. I was also part of a mini design sprint for helping an NGO digital green to figure out their product strategy and design.
